Video: The Rebel Troops

The club of over 70 bikers was established in Mhluzi in 2012 and has stretched its wings to eMalahleni and Gauteng.

“Belonging to a biker crew has more advantages then disadvantages,” said Leseja Masemola (President of the Rebel Troops).

When riding, a captain is appointed and a sweeper (guy at the back).

Being a biker is more then just riding around, the crew treat themselves to “day jol’s”, “rally’s ” and lunch’s where they interact with other bikers from around the world. The group also adopted an orphanage in Mlhuzi and are active in charities.

The groups core focus is safety and encourage motorists to “Think Bike” which is a campaign to remind motorists that bikers also have a right to ride on the roads.

“The people who loose their lives are father’s, mother’s, breadwinners, sisters.”, said Masemola.

Bikers interested in joining the crew, must have a valid bike licence or learners, further interviews and probation will be discussed with them.

The crew’s president can be contacted on 071 606 8395
