Relay for Life

Rock `n Roll is 2016’s theme for the well known, popular Cansa Relay For Life. It will take place in Middelburg on Saturday, 19 March from 18:00 until Sunday, 20 March at 06:00.

The RFL will be taking place this year at Event City, 9 July Street (opposite Middelburg Toyota).

Cansa RFL 2016 has undergone a new look and feel with an all new committee. The organisers are very excited for the 12 hour program, that will be filled with exciting entertainment, awareness and fun.

The Relay is there to support those who have been touched by cancer.

Entries are open for 2016 and the Cansa RFL Middelburg Committee would like to invite the public to register their teams now. The Early Bird Registration Fee is R1 000 per team (10-15 people). After 29 February the entry fee will be R1 500.

The entry fee includes the luminaria bags, candles and team entrance to the Relay For Life. A total of 50 teams will be allowed and at this stage there are already 35 teams who have registered.

Individual entrance tickets are available at R100 per person (need to register before actual event).

• No own food, private refreshments or alcohol will be allowed. Loads of food and treats will be available for relayers throughout the entire evening.

• Everybody who has been touched by cancer or survived cancer, is invited to register with Cansa as there will be a Survivor/Caregivers lunch as per Relay for Life tradition. Contact the Survivor’s Chairlady, Minette Heyns, at 082 873 1406.
