Two children killed in accident
An accident on the corner of Cowen Ntuli- and Meyer Street claimed the lives of two children on Saturday night.
According to Captain Khanyisile Zwane of the SAPS, a white Jeep collided with a stationed green Hyundai after it failed to stop at a red robot.
The green Hyundai had four passengers in it including the two minors who died. A 13 year old girl was declared dead on the scene and a nine year old boy died on Monday morning in hospital.
A block further the white Jeep drove into a wall.
The Jeep driver Piet Jacobs, was arrested on Saturday night and appeared in court on Monday. The police is investigating a case of culpable homicide.
