Pizza Del Forno has brought their winning recipe, a passion for good food, to Middelburg, the first restaurant in a franchise of about 30 to open in Mpumalanga. Prepare to be blown away by authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Every meal is prepared fresh, even their hamburger patties.
The owners Tony and Magda Diniz say that they chose their location, in the Middelburg town centre across from McDonalds in Cowen Ntuli Street, because it enables them to deliver to the whole of Middelburg without unnecessary delivery charges.
The Pizza Del Forno franchise brings trusted and tasty recipes and a balanced variety to the menu. Choose between pizzas and pastas, steaks, hamburgers and salads to name but a few. The Prawn Pasta, already a favorite, is made with wine infused shelled prawns in a lemon butter and mild peri-peri sauce. Other dishes that have made their mark are the popular Alla Pappa pizza, made with bacon, feta and spinach and the mouth watering steaks.
Do not leave the restaurant without trying the Nutella and Oreo dessert pizza. A wide array of vegetarian pizzas, gluten-free pizza bases or penne pasta and Banting bases on selected pizzas caters for the more health conscious clients.
The menu changes every six months to accommodate seasonal changes as well as to include new dishes. It also includes several specials like the Real Italian Deal where you can buy a Peperoni and Napoli pizza (or both of one) with two imported iced teas for R165.
“The menu is innovative. It keeps up with the ever changing trends and the changing tastes of our customers,” says Tony.
Pizza Del Forno consists out of three departments: The fully licensed restaurant offers the ideal place to enjoy a quiet meal. Take aways can be ordered over the counter and prepared while you wait or it can be done over the phone and delivered to your door.
Breakfast is served from 09:00. The restaurant is open daily and on Sundays until 20:00. Secure and private parking is available at the back of the building and can be reached through an entrance at the side of the restaurant.
