Woman thrown out of a car
A young woman from Standerton was allegedly thrown of a taxi by her ex lover, she later died at the Life Midmed Hospital.
The deceased, Phumzile Sibeko (29), was on her way to work when a man forced her into a taxi.
According to witnesses on the scene, the man physically assaulted her and drove of to an unknown location.
“We are in deep pain,” said Mr Enock Sibeko, the father of the deceased.
Mr Sibeko describes the man as “dangerous” as he has made threats to kill her before, just after their nasty break up.
The ex lover contacted the deceased family, to inform them that she was at the Standerton Hospital. When they arrived, she was in a critical condition, as blood was oozing through her nose, mouth and ears.
“The doctor said she sustained serious head injuries,” said Mr Sibeko.
She was then rushed to the Midmed for further treatment, where she died almost immediately after she arrived.
“We noticed blood stains in the ex lovers taxi,” said Mr Sibeko, when they asked him he said it was indeed her blood, as he carried her to the hospital.
According to the ex lover she jumped out of the car and he could not stop her, as he was driving, the man also added that she said she would rather die than losing him, said the family.
An inquest was opened and investigations will continue, after the Post-Mortem results have been released.
The case was also moved from Middelburg to Sakhile police station.
