Video: One man, two women, three thieves
A man and two women are operating a theft rink in Middelburg and their latest victim, Mr Ally Osman, of Osman's Optometrists, say they are so slick, if it wasn't for CCTV footage, no one would ever suspect them of a thing.
On Friday, 7 November, the man entered the premises with his two female henchmen.
The man spotted an unmanned cell phone behind a counter, where neck chains for spectacles are kept.
While he was apparently looking for a neck chain, the women kept counter staff busy.
When no one was looking he snatched the phone, placed it in his back pocket and walked out, followed by the women.
Mr Osman says the theft was effected in the blink of an eye.
They were however all caught on CCTV camera and Mr Osman released their photos to warn other businesses of their modus operandi.
He says they dress well and are very articulate, but definitely foreign.
