N4 Toll Tariffs increased

Motorists travelling on the N4 Highway between Middelburg and eMalahleni will have to fork out R47.00 for a one-way trip when annual Toll Tariff adjustments take effect from this Saturday, 24 May.

Heavy vehicles will pay up to R204.00, TRAC announced earlier this week in a statement, adding that the annual adjustment is effective on all national toll routes in the country, including the N4 Toll Route between Tshwane, Gauteng and the Lebombo Border Post.

The tariffs are adjusted in accordance with the preceding 12 month Consumer Price Index and will increase by 5,8%.

The toll adjustments are applicable to all toll plazas on the N4 East, managed by Trans African Concessions (TRAC), and will apply to all the gazetted vehicle classes.

“Concessions for frequent users are still applicable. Road users who frequently use TRAC’s toll plazas can enquire about concessions and discounts offered on the N4 Toll Route with the relevant toll plazas or TRAC’s helpdesk on 0800 87 22 64 or at helpdesk@tracn4.co.za,” TRAC stated.

“We would like to assure the travelling public of our continued efforts to maintain the N4 in an excellent condition. Major construction works will again be done on or adjacent to some sections of the N4. The aim is to make the travelling experience of motorists safer and even better.”
