Municipality receives food parcels
The Steve Tshwete Local Municipality’s feeding program graciously received over 750 food parcels at the Sydney Choma Banquet Hall throughout the week.
Executive Mayor, Bagudi Tolo, expressed his gratitude towards the sponsors, for coming to the aid of hungry communities.
The municipality received a donation of 250 food parcels from Glencore’s Izimbiwa Coal Mine on 4 May, followed by 500 more parcels from Mafube Coal and the Anglo American Goedehoop Colliery on 5 May.
These donations have helped to relieve 23 out of the 29 wards in need of food donations.
