Middelburg to take part in national census
The Nkangala district has been selected to take part in a test phase of a national census that will be conducted by Statistics SA.
The census will be focusing on special dwelling institutions, transients, homeless people and population in dwelling, where respondents are expected to provide data pertaining to demographics, migration, education, employment status and living conditions.
Statistics SA has informed that fieldworkers will be targeting certain areas to collect data from locals.
The fieldworkers will be carrying identity cards with the official Statistics SA watermark and the mini census will be taking place from 15 February to 13 March.
