Cash in transit heist between Hendrina and Ermelo

According to information a grey Ford Ranger without number plates and five armed men were involved in the heist that took place at the Breyten turnoff. The robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The direction in which the vehicle fled is unknown but it is suspected that it used either the Davel or Wonderfontein road from the N11.

If you spot the vehicle, contact the police immediately.

It is unclear at this stage whether someone was injured during the robbery.
