TrafficAlert – N11 closed between Middelburg and Hendrina
Motorists planning on travelling between Middelburg and Hendrina are warned to make use of alternative roads.
This after reports were received that the Klein Olifants River is flooding a low-water bridge on the N11 making it impossible for vehicles to cross.
It is currently unclear what the status of the Hendrina-Arnot road is.
Reports of a car that has been flushed away near Breyten was received. It can be confirmed from a trusted source that the driver of the car was washed ashore and was tended to by paramedics.
Motorists are warned not to try and cross overflowing low-water bridges and to be wary of floods that might occur at any time.
