N11 Traffic not affected by strike
More than 60 road workers are striking on the N11 road between Middelburg and Loskop Dam but traffic continues to flow without any disturbance, according to the construction company, HHO.
“We can confirm the strike action by between 60 – 70 employees, which as we speak is largely peaceful and only affecting the front of our offices,” a representative of HHO said.
He asked not to be named as was not authorized to speak to the media.
“We have employed private personnel to man the Stop/Go points and thus traffic is not affected and the road is safe to drive on. We hope to resolve the matter before the end of today (Thursday)”.
