Mall to host Superhero Walk for Hospice
Middelburg Mall will host the annual Superhero Walk for Hospice on Saturday, 7 May, starting at Middelburg Mall in front of Entrance 2 and ending at the Pienaardam Resort.
Registration starts at 07:00 and the race starts at 08:00.
The entire community is invited to participate at this fun event and all entrants are encouraged to dress up as their favourite superhero.
Marketing Manager Anneliza Erwee provided the following course description: “The race starts off with about 1 km of tarred road and then it gets interesting. Participants enter a field and swamp area, some uphill and rocky areas and then commence underneath the highway and end at the Pienaardam Resort”.
Prize giving will take place at 12:00 (or as soon as all the super-heroes are back) in front of the Restaurant at Pienaardam.
Awards will be given to the first 200 people that complete the race, all will receive a medal. The first Male, Female, Child under 13 and Team that completes the race, as well as the best dressed superhero in each mentioned category will receive a prize.
All proceeds will be handed over to the Middelburg Hospice and the entire community is encouraged to participate at this fun family event.
