Hawks swoop onto local couple
The Limpopo Hawks Asset Forfeiture Unit swooped onto an unsuspecting Aerorand couple, suspected of tender fraud at the Department of Health and Social Welfare, as well as a Limpopo Nursing College, early on Thursday.
All Matanya Gordon Monye and his wife, Sepati Pearl Mothlabane’s assets were frozen, including their bank accounts and investments.
The couple listened in shock as a KPMG representative explained to them what the civil court judgement, obtained against them for suspected tender fraud, entailed.
Their assets will remain frozen pending the outcome of criminal investigations against them, and other family members, who haven’t been identified yet.
