Photographers ‘fight’ over clients
Two photographers opened cases of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm after a 'fight' at the municipal licencing department on Friday morning.
According to information the fight broke out over who got to take a client’s photo. This after a client tried to jump the line. He was told to wait his turn. Whilst he was waiting another photographer allegedly offered to take his photo.
According to w.o. Lize de Witt, Middelburg police spokesperson, the two competing photographers were involved in a scuffle after the one accused the other of stealing her clients.
A fight broke out and two men were arrested. An unknown woman was said to partake in the action by throwing the fighting men with stones. She was never identified.
Three people, a male, 33, and a married couple aged 45 and 43, were arrested on charges of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm after they opened counter charges against each other.
W.o. De Witt says that the three accused were supposed to appear in court yesterday (Monday). The outcome of their court appearance were not known at the time of going to press.
