From Wednesday 06 January 2016 to Sunday 09 January 2016, there will be no road closures. Only the normal stop go’s will be active.
•From Monday 10 January 2016 to Sunday 17 January 2016 the schedule for road closures will be as followed: Expect up to 90 minute delays on Mondays and Fridays, from 09:00 to 16:30.
•On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the pass will be closed from 11:00 to 15:00. Saturdays and Sundays the pass will be open except for the normal stop go delays. The N11 road, at the Olifants River Bridge, will be open from Wednesday, 06 January 2016, until Sunday, 17 January 2016, although the normal stop go will be active.
The above schedule was implemented purely for motorist’s safety. Rock falls are not only fatal, it causes major clean-up operations to clear the road.
Motorists are urged to plan their trips according to the closure times stipulated.
