Dagga found in Extension 2

Members of the Middelburg Police and the Public Order Police (POP), managed to apprehend a group of suspects allegedly caught with drugs when they acted on a tip-off received from an informant.

The information led them to a house in Extension 2 in Mhluzi where they caught five people busy packing cannabis (dagga) into smaller packages.

The five suspects, one female and five males, ranged from age 17 to 53. A total of 11,77kg cannabis was found at the house.

The state has since withdrawn all charges against the minor accused.

Amos Mahlango, Thabo Mashigo, Joseph Msibi and Vusi Ngwenya appeared in the Middelburg Magistrate’s Court where they were granted bail of R1 500 each. The matter has been postponed to 22 November.
