The Steve Tshwete Local Municipality Traffic Department have embarked on a go slow on Thursday morning stating that taxi drivers and motorists “should do as they please on the roads.”

“The Department has been stagnant for the last 30 years. They are still using the old system. We want changes like promotions, a better working environment and better salaries for all,” said Simphiwe Nkosi, shop steward of SAMWU (South African Municipal Workers’ Union).
