Video: Freedom of the town parade
In order to commemorate a century of service from World War 1 until present day the 4SAI battalion exercised its freedom of entry to the town of Middelburg with a colourful parade on Friday morning.
The parade started with a breath taking performance by the band, followed by the general salute, a speech from the Executive Mayor Cllr Mike Masina and then the parade march through the town.
“It’s a privilege for the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality to be part of this historic parade. We are doing this because you are the real comrades in arms,” said Cllr Masina, during his speech.
