New traffic lights to be erected
Two new sets of traffic lights is to be erected this week. Construction has already started at the T-junction where Meyer and Protea Street meet.
The other point identified is where Beyers Naude Street and Dr Mandela Drive join in Mhluzi.
The Traffic Department at the Steve Tshwete Municipality said that both sets will be up and running by next week Monday if all goes according to plan.
The traffic lights will help to ease congestion at the two points that gets especially busy during peak hours.
