The Primrose CPF has the following alerts for the community:
- Look out for white rocks placed on your pavement.
People are jumping over the walls into people’s gardens and stealing garden equipment and tools.
Don’t leave your front door/security gate open when you are in the garden – the “jumpers” rush in and steal whatever is lying around.
- Be careful of window washers at intersections, especially near Bruma and Eastgate, they become abusive when you refuse to let them wash your windows.
At Caxton, every story is written by humans. We use AI only to perform quality checks - never to generate the news. Happy reading!

The public is fighting a losing war against the window washers! This social phenomenon cannot be stopped, as much as we would like it to stop. At the core of this phenomenon lingers drug addiction, homelessness, desperation, lack of schooling and social aimlessness… I’m too scared to refuse the washers to wash my window! I always keep loose change in the car (life saving cash);). I’ll rather let them wash my windscreen than go home (or to the hospital) with a brick in my face!!!
When I walk around Primrose I see that many people neglect the turf or pavement outside their homes! There is left over rubbish on some lawns, rubble, overgrown grass and all sorts of nasty waste materials… It is a very bad thing to neglect the pavement or turf outside the house and this can turn against the occupants of that house. For example, bricks outside anyone’s house are dangerous as they can easily be converted into weapons if people argue and fight on your street! Litter on the lawn tells criminals that the occupants of that house are not in intimate touch with the street they live on and that they are not alert! So please people, keep your streets clean… Care about your street, pick up the litter, remove the rubble, cut the grass and stop blaming the council for everything… A lot of things are within our power yet some of us don’t want to move a finger…
