Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a pedestrian accident, on Simon Bekker Road, in Tedstoneville, on Wednesday morning.
Upon their arrival at the scene they found that a six-year-old child had been knocked over by a motor vehicle.
The child was treated on scene and rushed to a nearby hospital, but died on arrival at the hospital.
The cause of the accident and preceding events remain the subject of a police investigation.

We live in Parnellroad and it is terrible with what speed the cars come down this road we are the third house from the robot at medicross and the noise of bikes and cars racing up or down this road is horrifiing. It is high time they do something about it.
