Police nab people with dagga

Suspects to appear in court on dagga charges.

Members of the Germiston SAPS held a stop-and-search operation in the CBD and its surrounds on Wednesday.

During the operation four people, one of whom is a woman, were arrested.

The four, aged 38, 19, 21 and 28, were arrested and charged with being in possession of dagga with a combined weight of 164g.

They will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.

“Const Immanuel Maake, Const Dumisane Ndabula and Const Sandile Mbatha are commended for their good police work in apprehending the suspects,” said WO André de Jager, communications officer for the Germiston SAPS.

  1. Wish the police in SA will go fight some real crime…I mean 164g? Really? It would probably have been a different story if they are big dealers who caused trouble but that’s one fat bag. catching 4 out of the millions there is with this medication already legal in numerous countries, will not help.   3. This is pathetic beyond speech. These cops should be ashamed of themselves … go and catch some real criminals. Oh, and legalise the weed already!
