towards the \u201csloppy work\u201d done by contractors.<br \/>\nMillions of rands in taxes have been spent on rehabilitation, yet motorists are forced to risk their lives on a very treacherous road.<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>www.mobserver.co.za<\/b>\u00a0has battled endlessly to milk out answers from the department on who the contractors are that were commissioned to do the rehabilitation, and how much money has been spent.<\/p>\n<p>The department\u2019s response so far has only been to say that rehabilitation is complete and budgetary constraints withhold any repairs to
