Complaints are pouring in from readers stating that no one can get through to the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality to report it.<\/p>\n

Information has been received that Kanonkop, Aerorand, Middelburg Mall, Middelburg Ext. 33 and Tokologo have all been affected.<\/p>\n

Steve Tshwete Local Municipality informed\u00a0www.mobserver.co.za<\/b><\/a>\u00a0in an sms notification that as a result of the power outages, the Vaalbank water purification plant could not purify or pump water to the reservoires.<\/p>\n

The estimated restoration time is said to be anything between five to eight hours.
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

www.mobserver.co.za<\/b><\/a>\u00a0has tried to make contact with municipal spokesperson, Prudence Magutle, however still await a response.<\/p>\n
