But it has since been discovered that the incorrect address was used to advertise the notice, and gave people the impression that the shebeen was to open at 5 Eitemal Street, Gholfsig, but this was a mistake and was corrected last week to show the business address as 2402\/01 Lekoko Street, Mhluzi.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Middelburg Observer<\/em>\u00a0Classifieds department confirmed that the client’s advert had to be re-advertised due to the incorrect information supplied on the clients behalf.<\/p>\n Apparently the residential address was advertised in place of the business address.<\/p>\n According to DA Councillor in that area, Jos Pretorius, residents of the area are still concerned despite the correction and they are not taking any chances.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have obtained a petition which contains at least 300 signatures and we submitted this to the Steve Tshwete municipality. The fact that the shebeen was advertised in Gholfsig still poses a risk that residents cannot afford not to object to,\u201d he said. \u201cI’ts in the best interests of the community that we place on record our objections\u201d.
