Willem Oosthuyzen and Theo Jackson abandoned their bail application during their last court case <\/a>in the Middelburg Magistrate\u2019s Court on Wednesday 16 November. Their case was originally postponed until January.<\/p>\n

In a Facebook post by the National Conservative Party (NKP), Wessel Basson announced yesterday (Monday). that Jackson and Oosthuyzen will be applying for bail this coming Thursday.<\/p>\n

Basson alleges that the investigating officer in the matter is in cahoots with the Economic Freedom Fighters and that they have already been mobilized to attend court proceedings.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis means that these two men will not get a fair trial,\u201d Basson writes. He asked \u2018everyone\u2019 to support the two accused.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rumour has it that the state has applied for a state advocate to oppose bail. A trusted source confirmed this but said that nothing has been finalised as of yet.<\/p>\n
