Mr Nkosinathi Mahlangu was recovering from a broken arm after he was involved in a car accident at the Woestalleen off ramp just a week ago.<\/p>\n
According to a reliable source, Mr Mahlangu slit his throat with a razor blade.<\/p>\n
Life Midmed Hospital said in a statement \u201cWe regret to confirm that a patient committed suicide in our hospital in the early hours of 17 July.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere condolences to the patient\u2019s family, and confirm that we are doing everything possible to provide support to them in this difficult time.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn line with the National Health Act, Life Midmed Hospital is obliged to report all unnatural deaths to the South African Police Services. This process was followed and SAPS conducted an investigation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe can confirm that no other patients were affected.<\/p>\n
\u201cLife Midmed Hospital follows strict patient confidentiality protocols, in line with Life Healthcare Group policies, therefore we are not at liberty to divulge further information on the matter.\u201d<\/p>\n
