It is alleged that police officer Toy Lucas Ngomane (42) who lives in Extension 5 in Mhluzi, left Themba Nkambule handcuffed to a hospital bed instead of physically guarding him, resulting in his escape.<\/p>\n

Ngomane faced a charge of aiding to escape from lawful custody for the incident that allegedly took place in April 2013.<\/p>\n

Court records show that the matter was removed from the roll. It is unclear why.<\/p>\n
