Eskom <\/a>has been able to supply the country\u2019s electricity needs and do maintenance without implementing load shedding for the past 26 days.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur maintenance plan is aimed at increasing the reliability of our plants, and this will in turn increase our operating reserves and stabilise the grid,\u201d the company said in a statement this morning.<\/p>

No load shedding is anticipated today, even with the sudden drop in temperature.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever, the system remains vulnerable, meaning that any extra load or faults in the system may necessitate the need to implement load shedding at short notice,\u201d the company said.<\/p>

Eskom will continue to provide regular updates on the status of the power system through all the media platforms.<\/p>\n
