Mavington Football Club\u2019s founder and head coach, Sandile Moloane, has great plans for his club.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe team has been in existence for five years now, and, among other things, we have participated in the Katlehong Local Football League Association (KALFA) where we were runners up,\u201d he said.<\/p>
\u201cWe have made it to the finals for 80 per cent of the tournaments that we take part in, which shows just how talented the boys are and I wish to see them achieving their dreams and moving to greater heights.<\/p>\n
Moloane said the club only has two teams.<\/p>
\u201cWe have two divisions, u-19 and u-23, and the u-23 team is also known as the first and senior team,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a lot of players with so much potential but the only problem is that they are not exposed enough to the right places.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a player that is signed to Yebo Yes, which is Orlando Pirates\u2019 development side, which is a great achievement, with more exposure like this more of our players can find themselves in bigger teams.\u201d<\/p>\n
The local head coach also said the club is in need of sponsors.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are also in need of sponsorship as we struggle to take part in better leagues and tournaments due to a lack of funds,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are also short of training equipment, so if anybody is willing to donate, we would greatly appreciated it.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe love the game of football and we won\u2019t let the challenges discourage and distract us from playing, we carry on with our practise and go at it in full force.<\/p>\n
\u201cMore players are welcome to join the club, we practise from Monday to Thursday at the Ncala Grounds, in Katlehong.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have two training sessions which take place from 7am to 9am and 4.30pm to 6.30pm.<\/p>\n
\u201cI train and groom these youngsters with the help of Sipho Sithole, who is the coach of the first team while I take care of the development side.\u201d<\/p>\n
