Eskom<\/a>\u00a0has warned the public\u00a0to brace themselves for more load shedding this week as it works to fix technical problems at some of its generating units.<\/p>\n

Peak periods remain the highest risk times for load shedding.<\/p>

Load shedding escalated to stage three for a brief time on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

Eskom continues with scheduled maintenance which has further tightened its generation capacity.<\/p>

Spokesman Khulu Phasiwe said, \u201cFor the rest of the week we’re likely to see a repeat of this until we have one unit of Medupi and one unit of Kusile Power Station up, unfortunately we will continue to have this vulnerability in the power systems.”<\/p>\n
