Primrose police recently arrested two men, aged 35 and 38, on charges of fraud and bribery.<\/p>\n

The arrest was made at a house in Pumula Street when officers received a complaint claiming fraudulent activities were taking place at the address.<\/p>

While searching the house, officers found two men, one of whom was scanning SIM cards with his laptop.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen asked what he was doing, the man claimed he was activating and Rica-ing the SIM cards,\u201d said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.<\/p>

It is alleged the second man then placed R4 000 into an officer\u2019s hand, in an attempt to bribe the officers.<\/p>\n

Both men were arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station, along with a number of starter packs, a laptop, 46 cellphones and four twin-plugs.<\/p>\n

The men have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their case was postponed for trial.<\/p>\n
