loses even more generating capacity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Stage two load shedding has been implemented.<\/p>\n<p>The change in from stage one to two took place at 8.20am, and this is likely to be implemented until 10pm.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>This is due to a further shortage of generating capacity and increased electricity demand.<\/p>\n<p>Any unexpected changes on the vulnerable and constrained power system could lead to a change in the load shedding stage at short notice.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Eskom would like to assure customers that load shedding is implemented as a necessary measure to protect the power system and to ensure that maintenance is carried out in order to guarantee that our supply of electricity can be maintained in the long term.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we are currently experiencing cold weather conditions across the country, we urge electricity users to consider energy efficient ways of keeping warm,\u201d Eskom said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eskom.co.za\/Pages\/Landing.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Eskom<\/a> will provide regular updates on the status of the power system through all the media platforms.<\/p>\n<p><a
