load shedding will be implemented from 4pm to 10pm.<\/p>\n<p>This comes after stage one was implemented at 9.3oam today.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>An increase in electricity demand, due to the cold front that is currently sweeping through the country, and a shortage of generation capacity resulting from technical faults at some of Eskom\u2019s units is blamed for today\u2019s load shedding.<\/p>\n<p>Spokesman for Eskom Khulu Phasiwe said that the high demand on the system is evident in many parts of the country.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cOur appeal to the public, if possible at all, is to delay the usage of heaters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they really have to use them when the temperatures are low, then we\u2019re asking that they lower the usage of geysers and swimming pools pumps so that we can reduce
