load shedding today &#8211; says Eskom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;There is no planned load shedding today as we have enough generating capacity to meet the demand in electricity,&#8221; said Eskom in a statement this morning.<\/p>\n<p>The power utility said it expects improved conditions this week as it\u2019s managed to fill its diesel reserves.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>This comes after a week and weekend of load shedding throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>Diesel shortages were identified as the source of last week\u2019s load shedding, and maintenance on generating units has reportedly also contributed to the daily implementation of load shedding.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Eskom\u2019s spokes man Khulu Phasiwe said,\u201cSo far the good news is that some of our generating units are now back online and we are expecting a few others to come back online later.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For the rest of the week, we should be in a better position going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company has said that the\u00a0implementation of load shedding is a necessary measure to protect the power system and to ensure that maintenance is carried out in order to guarantee that a reliable supply of electricity
