The Germiston City News recently received a complaint from residents of the Cora Erasmus Ekurhuleni Houses, in Bluebell Street, Primrose.<\/p>\n

Residents were upset that the metro had not sent a team to repair a burst water pipe, which had been reported to them on April 7.<\/p>

The pipe had already flooded the garden and a near-by flat, whose owner was away on holiday when the GCN visited the home.<\/p>\n

One resident told the GCN that a metro team had arrived, looked at the burst pipe through the fence and left without a word.<\/p>

The GCN approached the metro to find out who was responsible for the repair and when the pipe would be repaired.<\/p>\n

Themba Gadebe, spokesman for the metro, responded to the inquiry with the following statement: \u201cThe burst pipe in Bluebell Street in Primrose was attended to on April 17.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe repair was done by a contractor appointed by the Human Settlement Department.\u201d<\/p>\n

Do you think it was acceptable that the repairs took 10 days to be completed?<\/p>\n
