{"id":88496,"date":"2015-05-04T11:15:00","date_gmt":"2015-05-04T09:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/88496\/casual-day-campaign-kicks-off-its-activities\/"},"modified":"2015-05-04T11:51:46","modified_gmt":"2015-05-04T09:51:46","slug":"casual-day-campaign-kicks-off-its-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2015\/05\/04\/casual-day-campaign-kicks-off-its-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Casual Day campaign kicks off its activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cSouth Africa\u2019s foremost fundraiser for people with disabilities, Casual Day, raised R28-million countrywide, last year,\u201d said Andrea Vinassa, Casual Day\u2019s publicist.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsored by the Edcon Group, Casual Day is owned and managed by the National Council for Persons with Physical Disabilities in South Africa.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The 2015 Casual Day campaign kicked off its activities with the arrival of the stickers from the printers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSchools, organisations and corporates will be able to put in their bulk orders for stickers now, and also put the date on their calendars,\u201d said Vinassa.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cCasual Day is on September 4. The theme for 2015 is \u201cSpring into Action\u201d, so take your inspiration from the birds, bees, the skies of blue, the colours of the rainbow, the blossoms on the trees and the minty hue of new leaves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vinassa also said the colour theme for 2015 is refreshing, zingy mint.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year we will be producing five different collector\u2019s stickers, each with a different image,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo you can wear a bouquet of stickers to celebrate your commitment to improving the world for people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCollect five stickers at R10 each.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCasual Day provides the country with the opportunity to show their solidarity with people with disabilities, at the same time enjoying team building and camaraderie with their fellow participants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt gives South Africans the opportunity to be creative and have fun while contributing to the betterment of society.
