{"id":78724,"date":"2015-01-19T07:42:40","date_gmt":"2015-01-19T05:42:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/78724\/education-goes-digital\/"},"modified":"2015-01-19T07:42:40","modified_gmt":"2015-01-19T05:42:40","slug":"education-goes-digital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2015\/01\/19\/education-goes-digital\/","title":{"rendered":"Education goes digital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cWe are ready to respond to the call made by Congress of South African Students of \u2018One Learner One tablet in our lifetime\u2019,\u201d says Phumla Sekhonyane, spokesperson for the Gauteng Department of Education.<br \/>\nShe adds that as a starting point, 21 schools have been identified to participate in the pilot programme of classroom of the future.<br \/>\nFive schools have been identified for development as model schools for the integration of technology in teaching and learning. The department will work with private sector partners to model smart classrooms.
