{"id":77533,"date":"2014-12-22T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-12-22T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/77533\/zuma-signs-public-administration-management-act-law\/"},"modified":"2014-12-19T16:57:32","modified_gmt":"2014-12-19T14:57:32","slug":"zuma-signs-public-administration-management-act-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2014\/12\/22\/zuma-signs-public-administration-management-act-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Zuma signs Public Administration Management Act into Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Jacob Zuma, has signed into law the Public Administration Management Act, 2014 (Act No. 11 of 2014).<\/p>\n<p>The Act amongst others seeks to promote a high standard of professional ethics in the public administration.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The Presidency said in a statement, &#8220;As part of promoting professional ethics and integrity by employees, the Act prohibits public servants from conducting business with the State or being a director of a public or private company that conducts with the State.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Failure to comply with this prohibition constitutes serious misconduct which may result in the termination of employment by the employer.&#8221;<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Employees will be required to disclose their financial interests.
