Carnival City and the Afrisun East Rand Trust have again spread some festive love and cheer to young children from underprivileged communities in Ekurhuleni.<\/p>\n
Some 350 children, aged between six and 12 years, from various East Rand-based orphanages, were treated to a grand-scale Christmas party on the soccer fields behind the casino complex, on Tuesday.<\/p>
The field was transformed into a fantasy water world, complete with boat rides, castles and a water slide.<\/p>\n
Other fun-filled activities included a foam pit, outdoor games, face-painting and interactions with visiting clowns.<\/p>
The undoubted highlight for the children was the gift-laden, early arrival of Santa and Mrs Claus.<\/p>\n
Thanks to Carnival City\u2019s service providers, the kids received fresh fruit juices and bottled water from Headline Leisure Management, Fedics and Wimpy, and enjoyed ice-creams and sweets from other caring sponsors.<\/p>\n
On hand during the party, to take care of any scrapes or cuts, was Ikambi Care, Carnival City\u2019s in-house clinic.<\/p>\n

“It gives these young children a chance to feel the love, joy and merriment that should surround them at this time of year.<\/p>\n
