{"id":74142,"date":"2014-11-25T09:25:00","date_gmt":"2014-11-25T07:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/74142\/become-part-of-the-wadeville-voice-of-business\/"},"modified":"2014-11-25T09:04:05","modified_gmt":"2014-11-25T07:04:05","slug":"become-part-of-the-wadeville-voice-of-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2014\/11\/25\/become-part-of-the-wadeville-voice-of-business\/","title":{"rendered":"Become part of the Wadeville voice of business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wadeville will soon have getting a facelift, if the Captains of Industry Forum (ECOIF) has anything to do with it.<\/p>\n<p>The forum, headed by CEO Chris van Biljon, has a number of plans for the industrial area, which will attract more businesses and retain those that are already operating there.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cBusinesses are encouraged to join the forum and become part of the Wadeville voice of business,\u201d van Biljon said.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the main focus of the forum is to aid the companies in Wadeville Extensions Four and Five to enclose their business area.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The area borders on Black Reef, Dekema and Davidson roads, and van Biljon said the enclosure will go a long way in reducing crime in this area.<\/p>\n<p>Another, long-term project of the forum is to beautify the Wadeville area and a committee will be set up to run this.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have been encouraging a number of people from the township areas to set up cooperatives and they will focus on fixing windows and painting buildings in Wadeville,\u201d van Biljon said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo this end I also have Proudly South African involved, and I believe that, if we can make the area attractive, it will attract more business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Van Biljon said he will be bringing Proudly South African to visit Wadeville on November 27.<\/p>\n<p>The forum will also be tackling the issue of potholes and the lack of street markings in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything we do will be done in partnership with the metro,\u201d van Biljon said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_74143\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-74143\" style=\"width: 423px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/31\/2014\/11\/47GCNGENERALWADEMH_631564227.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-74143\" src=\"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/31\/2014\/11\/47GCNGENERALWADEMH_631564227-423x317.jpg\" alt=\"Chris van Biljon (CEO of the Ekurhuleni Captains of Industry Forum, right) with His Excellency, Ambassador Hasan Bader Al-Oqab, of the Embassy of the State of Kuwait.
