The Primrose police recently charged a 22-year-old with housebreaking and theft.<\/p>\n

Officers were alerted to the break-in by a local security company.<\/p>

When they arrived at the Pretoria Road home they found the home owner, a member of the local security company, who had alerted the police, and the man accused of breaking into the house.<\/p>\n

The home owner explained that he had been at work when his security company called him to say his house\u2019s alarm had been triggered.<\/p>

When he arrived home he found that the accused had already been apprehended.<\/p>\n

Upon further inspection he found that his flat screen TV and clothes to the value of R 2000 had been taken.<\/p>\n

The suspect was taken to the Primrose Police Station, where he was formally charged.<\/p>\n

He later appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for trial.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are appealing to our community to be extra careful, due to the increase in housebreakings and thefts.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe suggest tightening the security on their properties,\u201d said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.<\/p>\n
