Residents’ morning commute was interrupted when a truck lost its load on the corner of Pretoria and Barbara roads, in Primrose.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, at 08.15am, a white Mercedes Bens rigid\/solid 10 ton truck transporting cans and bottles of liquor from Bedfordview to Eldorado Park, lost part of its cargo.<\/p>

This happened as the truck took a right turn into Pretoria Road.<\/p>\n

A truck lost its load of alcohol when it turned into Pretoria Road, on Thursday.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

One lane of the intersection, which is controlled by traffic lights, was heavily affected by the incident.<\/p>

\u201cThe 38-year old male truck driver and four male passengers, aged between 30 and 33, didn\u2019t sustain any visible injuries,\u201d said Kobeli Mokheseng, the EMPD\u2019s media liaison officer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe driver alleged that he was travelling on Barbara Road, from the Elandsfontein direction, when he took a right turn in Pretoria Road, towards Germiston, and the load shifted and spilled onto the road.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was no report of another motor vehicle involved at the time of gathering the information.\u201d<\/p>\n

The dual carriageway was partially closed to traffic.<\/p>\n

The EMPD were able to clear the road and re-open it to traffic in approximately two hours.<\/p>\n
