will metro finish repair?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many residents of Primrose have noted the slow decline of a hole on the corner of Beaconsfield Avenue and Guava Road.<\/p>\n<p>By Saturday morning the situation had worsened, leaving a huge hole in the road.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Hole on encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Residents attempted to mark the hole as best they could with danger tape, construction signs and even tree branches.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Hole on Beaconsfield Avenue2\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RFMGptoTzBA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A GCN journalist went to the scene to take photos of what had become a dangerous situation.<\/p>\n<p>The photos were sent to the metro along with a query asking:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0What is the cause of this hole?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0When will it be filled and\/or repaired?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8221;The site was visited yesterday morning, September 3,\u201d explained Themba Gadebe, from the metro\u2019s department of communication and brand management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe backfilling of the hole was attended to and all temporary signs and barricading were removed by the service owners that worked there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnly the patching is outstanding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality\u2019s Roads Department will attend to it.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1'
