{"id":62729,"date":"2014-06-27T08:15:00","date_gmt":"2014-06-27T06:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/62729\/vehicle-damaged-by-manhole-cover\/"},"modified":"2014-06-27T09:02:54","modified_gmt":"2014-06-27T07:02:54","slug":"vehicle-damaged-by-manhole-cover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2014\/06\/27\/vehicle-damaged-by-manhole-cover\/","title":{"rendered":"Vehicle damaged by manhole cover"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Local resident, CJ Posthumus came into the GCN offices recently, to report a raised manhole\/drain cover.<\/p>\n<p>The manhole\/drain is located at the corner of First Street and Fifth Avenue, Wannenburghoogte.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Posthumus explained that the raised cover had extensively damaged his car.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I feel someone needs to take responsibility,&#8221; he added.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;Myself, as well as others, could have been seriously hurt.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This manhole\/drain is dangerous; what if the entire manhole cover was missing and the car landed into that hole?
