The Caxton Reynolds Race is based on the same principles as the reality TV show, The Amazing Race.

A total of eight teams from around the east and south of Johannesburg will be chosen, and they will have to complete a number of tasks between Fridays and Saturdays, for the ultimate prize.

Tasks may vary from finding clues or completing physical races, to constructing objects that reveal the next task.

On completion the team will have to submit their answers, via email to the team sponsor.

A points system will be used to monitor the teams’ performances.

The first team to finish a task within the given time walks away with bragging rights and top points that will be added to their overall score.

The three teams with the most points by the end of the seventh week will all go into the finals, that will be held on August 2.
