They have given us the mandate, and we aim to see it through.\u201d<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Contrary to polls before the elections, the ANC won the province with 53.59 per cent of the votes, followed by the Democratic Alliance (DA) on 30.78 percent.
