{"id":54724,"date":"2014-03-07T08:25:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-07T06:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/54724\/new-meter-reading-contractors-in-germiston-ornew-meter-readers-in-the-city\/"},"modified":"2014-03-06T16:02:18","modified_gmt":"2014-03-06T14:02:18","slug":"new-meter-reading-contractors-in-germiston-ornew-meter-readers-in-the-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2014\/03\/07\/new-meter-reading-contractors-in-germiston-ornew-meter-readers-in-the-city\/","title":{"rendered":"New meter reading contractors in Germiston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The metro has appointed new meter reading contractors for Ekurhuleni.<\/p>\n<p>In Germiston, Ralai&#8217;s Investments CC and Baatshuma Electrical (Pty) Ltd have been appointed.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>These contractors will to undertake the reading function from March 3, 2014, until June 30, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The municipality appeals to residents to cooperate with the company representatives by granting them access to their properties, to avoid interim charges.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>For security reasons, residents are advised to always request identification before allowing the workers onto their property.<\/p>\n<p>As a form of identification, they will be carrying identity cards bearing the Ekurhuleni logo and the cards will also have telephone numbers that can be contacted for confirmation.<\/p>\n<p>They will also be wearing the contractors&#8217; branded T-shirts.<\/p>\n<p>Their operating hours will be from 8am to 5pm on weekdays and, possibly, on weekends if needs be.<\/p>\n<p>Where necessary, the meter readers will be required to do after hours readings, as per arrangement with the client.<\/p>\n<p>Residents can use the following numbers for phone-in readings, as well as email addresses for written readings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Baatshuma Electrical (Pty) Ltd: mrc@baatshuma.co.za;
