The Primrose police are growing increasingly concerned over the number of vehicle thefts in the area.<\/p>\n

“On average we record three to four cars being stolen in the area,”said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the police station.<\/p>

“We find that a large number of the vehicles stolen are parked on pavements or under carports, where gates are not properly secured.<\/p>\n

“Primrose’s officers are trying to curb these thefts, but we need the community to help.<\/p>

<\/div>\n

“We, therefore, ask the public to not park their vehicles on pavements, whenever possible, and to never leave valuables in their vehicles, as this encourages would-be criminals.”<\/p>\n

Officers continue to patrol and have started to take down the registration details of cars left unattended, to assist in stolen vehicle cases.<\/p>\n
